  • How do I attend a Ganja Guru Yoga event? What is the process?
    • Ganja Guru Yoga holds private, invitation-only events, in private spaces, and registration is required for each event. No walk ins will be accepted at the door.
  • Can I attend Ganja Guru Yoga if I’ve never done Yoga before?
    • Absolutely! Please do! Ganja Guru Yoga is intended to include individuals of all backgrounds, of broad experiences, and of varying skill levels. Whether it is the first time on your mat or you are a regular yogi, this practice is designed for you!
  • What to wear?
    • Wear comfortable, fitted, exercise clothes. The classroom will not typically be heated, however you will want to feel comfortable to move and sweat.
  • What to bring?
    • Please bring a water bottle, your yoga mat, a towel, and your cannabis.
  • When to arrive?
    • Please arrive approximately 15 minutes prior to the class start time to become acquainted with your space.
  • Do I have to smoke cannabis at Ganja Guru Yoga?
    • Cannabis use is not a required part of any Ganja Guru Yoga event, nor will any cannabis be sold by Ganja Guru Yoga or it’s Teachers. It is a personal decision entirely at your own discretion, and at your own risk, as to whether and how much cannabis you use. It is your responsibility to ensure any personal use of cannabis is in compliance with Colorado law. These events are designed to enhance your ability to work with your body, your subtle energetics and your yoga practice in a more skillful manner, regardless of cannabis use. Some students choose to use cannabis to enrich their practice, while others choose not to. Feel free to practice Ganja Guru Yoga in whatever state you feel the most comfortable and connected to your practice.
    • According to Colorado law,
      • Limits to buying. Only buy retail marijuana from licensed retail stores. Adults over age 21 can buy and possess up to one ounce of marijuana at a time.
      • Limits to selling. Only licensed retailers can sell their product. Adults over age 21 may give up to one ounce of marijuana to another adult 21 or older, but may not sell marijuana. This includes homegrown product.
      • Illegal to use in public. Marijuana use in any way — smoked, eaten, or vaped — is not allowed in public Places. (This includes outdoor areas like sidewalks, national and local parks, ski resorts and concert venues. Indoor use in workplaces, restaurants, bars and common areas of apartment buildings is also illegal).
    • Ganja Guru Yoga may not sell cannabis at Ganja Guru Yoga events. Ganja Guru Yoga only holds private, invitation only events, in private spaces.
  • How much Cannabis should I consume before Ganja Guru Yoga?
    • Each individual has their own relationship with cannabis and how it affects their mind, body, and spirit. It is a personal decision entirely at your own discretion, and at your own risk, as to whether and how much cannabis you will use as part of these events.
  • I arrived a few minutes late and the door was locked. Why?
    • Please arrive approximately 5-15 minutes prior to the class start time. Ganja Guru Yoga intends to begin and end class on time to respect the safety and wellbeing of all students.
  • Can I walk in or pay at the door?
    • Ganja Guru Yoga only holds private, invitation-only events, in private spaces, and ticket purchase is required. No walk ins will be accepted at the door.
  • Is there a minimum age requirement to attend Ganja Guru Yoga?
    • All Ganja Guru Yoga students must be 21 years of age or older to participate. Valid, Unexpired, Government Issued Identification is required at all events.  
  • I’m pregnant – can I still take Ganja Guru Yoga classes?
    • Ganja Guru Yoga highly recommends asking your doctor. The doctor will know what’s best for you and your medical well being. Typically, non-heated yoga classes with modifications are acceptable for pregnant women, but be sure to consult with your doctor before attending any Ganja Guru Yoga events while pregnant.
  • What if I have a heart condition, can I still practice?
    • Ganja Guru Yoga highly recommends asking your doctor. The doctor will know what’s best for you and your medical well being. Be sure to consult with your doctor before attending any Ganja Guru Yoga events if you have a heart condition.
  • My yoga instructor says ‘Namaste’ at the end of class.  What does that mean?
    • Ganja Guru Yoga instructors will often close the communal experience with the traditional sanskrit phrase “Namaste”. This expression is the acknowledgment of one life force to another life force. “Nama” means bow, “as” means I, and “te” means you. So in literal translation, Namaste means “bow me you” or “I bow to you.”
